The town is located at co-ordinates 20.32°North and 77.77°East and has an average elevation of about 1165 feet which is 355 meters. The climate of Darwha is dry and hot in summer with a cold winter. Being part of Yavatmal it receives an average annual rainfall of 911.34 mm (36 in).

History of Darwha
The town is believed to be the home of the Freedom fighter Rango Bapuji Gupte. The town of Darwha is an important place as in this town a several number of English Soldiers were open fired upon an unmanned gathering. Upon taking a closer at the history we can see that the town was an important market place for peanut oil and cotton. Apart from this we also see that the town has a number of other important religious places which causes many tourists to flock to the town.
